Lip blushing goes through the most DRASTIC healing phases over any other permanent makeup. Immediately after your appointment, your lips are BOLD, in both colour and swelling. Healed results are soft, subtle, & natural - closer to a lip stain or tint rather than an opaque bold lipstick. Enough to bring your lips back to life and improve definition, but not so much that you feel like you have to wear a full face of makeup to balance it out. Pop on a clear gloss and go! …if you want.

I don’t know if you’ve heard but lips are the new brows. ✨ Brows frame the face, eyeliner makes your eyes POP, but lips truly finish your look. 🪄

Results look intense at first but fade significantly when healed leaving you with a natural yet defined look to just gloss & go.
The goal: “Your lips, just better”

Things to know about lips:

•We don’t over-line. We can create balance and define shape by working a MAXIMUM of 1-2mm outside your natural vermillion border. Tattooing outside your natural lips would leave an undesirable healed look down the road because the pigment fades different on lip tissue than it does on the facial skin. We can create balance but if the goal is bigger lips, get filler.

• It’s ALWAYS intense at first no matter how subtle you want your healed results. After about the first 5 days, the pigment will have faded significantly leaving you with a beautiful natural tint.

•Coverage is buildable to an extent. Still too light? - book another touch up.

•Your natural lip undertones play a role in our colour choice. What pigment looks like in the bottle, vs on your skin fresh, vs healed, are THREE different things. Trust the process and trust me. There’s a reason I’m behind the chair. 💁‍♀️

•Ever had a cold sore? Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about a preventative treatment or you will not have a good time after.

•Your outcome goals matter, however to give you the best results possible for as long as possible, we use pigment shades that are more naturally occurring. At this time we don’t do browns, purples, etc. - pinks, reds, and corals are what we work with here. We aim for a natural enhancement, not makeup replacement.

•Swelling is inevitable. I always joke that if you’ve never had filler, get your lips tattooed to do a trail run. You’ll either really want filler after or never want it. 🤣 You may use a soft gel ice pack after your treatment to manage swelling.

That’s a really common concern I get from first-timers in my chair.
When someone states these concerns to me, I can’t help but ask if they’ve even looked at my pictures on my social media.
I don’t mean for it to be a smart-ass remark. I mean for it to remind them why they chose me in the first place. That’s a really common concern I get from first-timers in my chair.
When someone states these concerns to me, I can’t help but ask if they’ve even looked at my pictures on my social media.
I don’t mean for it to be a smart-ass remark. I mean for it to remind them why they chose me in the first place. Most people do extensive research before they wind up here and your research got you here. Every set of brows I’ve done on other people might not look good on you if I were to just copy and paste, but they all look fabulous on the client they are on because they were custom created specifically for them.
I create a brow that specifically suits your face; colour, shape, size, etc.

“Am I too old to get this done?”
A lot of people over 50 ask me this and I can’t help but giggle a little.

Age is just a number.
When determining who is a good candidate we are mainly looking at the condition of your health, skin, and determining if we can agree on a shape, design and colour.
To answer this question, we’ve had to turn away people in their 30’s due to a medical contraindication to the procedure but on the other hand have been able to work on clients in their 70’s, 80’s, & 90’s - no problem.
Thinner, more mature skin does require some extra precautions and a slightly different approach than someone born in the 90’s but age itself is never a determining factor.

Please keep in mind that PMU on a mature client will also look different, both fresh and healed, than PMU on a very young client. The canvas we are working on is just simply not the same. Regardless, the results will still be beautifully suited to the individual.

There’s no age limit to living your best life. Do whatever makes you happy. ✨
